What HomePAC Does

The HomePAC Board of Trustees is comprised of an outstanding group of industry leaders selected to make decisions on how and when to focus the industry’s political resources to ensure a favorable housing and political environment for builders in the Greater Austin area. HomePAC works to elect candidates who understand our industry and will advocate for it once elected.

Beyond political campaign support, HomePAC researches voting records, conducts independent polling, and analyzes local and state initiatives. Together with HBA’s Government Relations staff, it serves as a well-recognized and respected political force in the region.

HomePAC Goals

1. IDENTIFY ALLIES

Identify housing-minded elected officials and candidates for office.

2. FUND ISSUE CAMPAIGNS

Participate in Central Texas ballot measures and issue campaigns that align with HBA's mission and values.

3. ALLOCATE RESOURCES

Review the political landscape and thoughtfully allocate resources to key races and pro-housing candidates.

"Funding from HomePAC gave our government relations team the ability to fight for our industry during the pandemic. Their effort was a game changer - ensuring our industry was allowed to continue operations, while many shuttered."
— Scott Turner, Riverside Homes
