HAYS COUNTY Robert Rizo - Kyle, Mayor (Special Election) Robert has served on the Kyle City Council representing both District 2 and District 3. During his time on council, he led in the creation of the Public Safety Center, helped to create several new parks, and assisted to usher in the 2022 Road Bond to bring much-needed road infrastructure to Kyle. As mayor, he hopes to help ensure that Kyle has the infrastructure necessary to accommodate growth and keep Kyle affordable. Bear Heiser - Kyle, District 1 Bear has served on the Kyle City Council for the past three years representing District 1. During his time on council, he worked to foster practical solutions for Kyle residents including the Property Improvement Program and the Water Conservation Rebate Program. If reelected, he is committed to remain focused on smart growth, modern infrastructure, and safe neighborhoods. “I look forward to spending the next three years working with the HBA to diversify the housing inventory in the City of Kyle. If we only build one kind of home, we only make room for one kind of future. We need a mix - smaller homes, starter homes, homes for folks downsizing - so people can stay part of Kyle at every stage of life.” Josh Paselk - San Marcos, Place 2 Josh is a 12-year San Marcos resident and a local business owner. He has also served on the San Marcos Planning and Zoning Board. If elected, he envisions fostering responsible progress in San Marcos, balancing opportunity with preserving the city’s unique character and values. TRAVIS/WILLIAMSON COUNTY Doug Weiss - Pflugerville, Mayor Doug has served on the Pflugerville City Council for the past nine years and spent over a decade on the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation board. During his time on council, he led efforts in responsible planning and reasonable growth, including securing infrastructure to increase Pflugerville’s water accessibility. As mayor, he hopes to continue these efforts by working closely with developers to attract new businesses and amenities to sustain Pflugerville’s growth and meet the community’s diverse wants. Natomi Blair - Leander, Place 3 (Special Election) Natomi has decades of business experience in the technology and government sectors, giving her the necessary expertise to understand the business environment and challenges faced by Leander residents. Through her community involvement, she has developed strong relationships across Leander and has held a series of leadership roles, including running organizations impacting the west region of Texas. If elected, she hopes to continue building on her community relationships to adequately address water, traffic, and business concerns as Leander continues to grow. "I am excited to work alongside the HBA to ensure Leander’s housing market continues to grow in a way that supports families, strengthens our economy, and keeps our community thriving." |
