What are the Benefits of Membership?

Build Representation

Advocacy is one of the most important benefits of Membership. The HBA is your voice, advocating to ensure that the regulatory environment in our six-county area is pro-housing. Our active and diligent Government Relations team keeps tabs on hot industry topics and takes action when necessary to encourage industry growth and development. Additionally, we work with TAB and NAHB on state and national housing issues. Whether it’s working on an Ordinance, testifying at Council, or helping our members with a permit delay or issue—we are here to represent YOU!

Build Relationships

Our Members consist of custom and volume builders, remodelers, developers and a variety of other housing-related entities such as building materials suppliers, trades, banks and designers to name a few. Any company that relies on or is impacted by the housing market can and should be an HBA Member. Network with fellow members on a casual basis at monthly events such as Wine’d Down Wednesday or HBA Goes Local, or attend large-scale events like the MAX Awards or Annual Housing Forecast. Get more involved by joining committees and councils which allows for regular face time within a small setting. No matter your interest or mission, there are numerous opportunities to expand your brand, make connections and grow your business. View the HBA’s numerous annual events.

Build Knowledge

Whether you are a designer, remodeler, project manager or business owner, the HBA offers a variety of classes and seminars each year to keep you up to date on the industry, as well as general topics to support the growth of your business. See our current education options.

Build Assurance

As a member, you have access to discounted insurance products and services, as well as residential building contracts complete with training sessions after each Legislative Session. This includes access to the following:

  • TAB’s Model Construction Safety Program and Job Site Safety Package
  • NAHB Legal and Code Department
  • Liability insurance
  • Group health insurance
  • Builder contracts packages

Build Your Brand

As an HBA Member, you will be included in the Annual Membership Directory in both print and digital formats.

There are also several opportunities to promote your business through other platforms. By far, the most important way to promote yourself is by becoming a regular sponsor. The more events, classes or meetings you sponsor, the more recognition you will have by other members which is key. Our most successful members are those who dive right in, attending every HBA event in order to grow their industry relationships, as well as their business.
