HBA Wins National Award for Outstanding Membership Efforts
The Home Builders Association of Greater Austin (HBA) was recognized for its outstanding membership efforts with a Grand Award from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
Each year, one Home Builders Association from each group size with the highest numerical increase, percentage growth, retention rate and numerical increase in Affiliate membership is honored with the Grand Award in that category.
“This award is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our Membership Committee in communicating the many benefits of joining the HBA of Greater Austin to potential new members,” said Tyson Neal, Associate Vice President of Legend Lighting and 2018 HBA Membership Committee Chair. “It is truly an honor to be awarded at the national level for this collective effort.”
The HBA was awarded this prize based on the following criteria:
- Set and met challenging membership recruitment and retention goals
- Judged by the NAHB Membership Committee to have the most effective membership plan
- Showed unparalleled percentage increase in both growth and retention during the previous year
“We are so thankful to volunteers like Tyson and the Membership Committee for promoting the HBA of Greater Austin with such enthusiasm. We couldn’t do it without them, or the HBA Staff, who work tirelessly to not only attract new members, but to serve all HBA members,” said HBA CEO, Carrie L. Ciliberto, Esq.
