Member Spotlight: 4 Season Outdoors

Will and Philip Hanson of 4 Season Outdoors – ATX {4SO-ATX} offer incredible outdoor living options to thousands of residents living on the outskirts of Austin. Relocating from their small shop in South Austin to a 7,500 square foot showroom in Driftwood was a smart move.
Until the past two years, Driftwood has been known only for the Saltlick, wineries, and distilleries…not anymore! Many businesses are finding it to be a great place to open shop.
{4SO-ATX} offers turn-key design/build services for custom outdoor kitchens, decks, covered structures, fire pits, and more.

Dealers for more than a dozen reputable appliance brands {4SO-ATX} offer a variety of quality outdoor kitchen options, a great selection of gas grills, wood pellet and Komodo grills, and a spattering of accessories. Patio heaters and pool safety glass are among the newest products offered.

The {4SO-ATX} showroom hosts a beautiful view of the hill country showcasing their personal outdoor oasis; equipped with multiple fully functional outdoor kitchens, high end outdoor appliances, numerous decking solutions, and custom gas fire pits.

Although the fabrication of outdoor kitchens was not their focus prior to the move, the outdoor appliance sales process brought the brothers attention to a great number of outdoor kitchens that were poorly constructed, built with combustible materials, and were simply unsafe. Builders were typically interested in sticking to their wheelhouse of building homes, some pool builders may have offered outdoor kitchens, but they were not always built for safely and lacked custom craftsmanship.

Realizing the need for aesthetic improvement and customer safety, they teamed with professional welding fabricators perfecting the outdoor kitchen design process. By providing fully welded custom steel frames with Hardie Backer board surrounding the structure and proper ventilation, {4SO-ATX} custom designs each project with drop-in sections sized specifically for chosen appliances and custom niches for wood pellet or Komodo styled grills. Each structure offers customers several covering choices to wrap their kitchen, i.e., rock, stacked stone, stucco, brick, metal, tile, etc.

Professional 3-D renderings are shared with customers allowing them an active role in the design process to see the vision and collaborate on adjustments prior to the building process.
