HBA participates in Leander City Council Workshop to discuss Alley load Garages and PIDs
On Thursday, the HBA was invited by the Leander City Council to participate in a discussion about the city’s alley load requirements. The city is interested in removing the alley load requirement and heard from builders and HBA staff about the challenges of requiring alley loads. The HBA will work with the city to provide alternatives to modify the front façade with a front facing garage in a way that meets affordability goals and aesthetics desired by the council.
The workshop also discussed PIDs, where the council offered changes to the city’s PID policy. The changes will likely result in increased notification to customers prior to the purchase of a home, including additional signage and disclaimers to be included in brochures.
