HBA Discusses Riparian Setbacks at Leander City Council
The City of Leander is considering adjusting its riparian setback regulations, which regulate how close a development can be to a waterway or stream. Currently, central Texas cities use a patchwork of rules to regulate their riparian corridors. In an effort to help make those regulations more consistent, the HBA will provide expert testimony on how other communities are regulating their riparian corridors. The end goal is to reduce the regulations, which will create more developable land in Leander.
