Leander passes new regulations on stucco
The City of Leander voted on December 15, 2016, to pass additional regulations governing stucco on residential homes. The first included a new definition of stucco which is in line with the definition currently in the International Building Code. While the HBA supported the definition, we opposed the new regulation that now requires that walls made up of more than 90% stucco that face a street must contain additional architectural features. Despite the pushback from the Association and several members, the city voted to accept staff recommendation. To view the full text of what was approved click here.
