New VP of Public Policy Takes Post June 8th
Born and raised in El Paso, Geoffrey Tahuahua (ta-WA-wa) comes to the Homebuilders Association of Greater Austin from the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Under his leadership, he reorganized many of the foundation’s donor cultivation programs and in one year doubled the revenue from direct mailing. The foundation saw a significant increase in support as well as the completion of a $22.5 million Capital Campaign for its new headquarters.
Prior to working for TPPF, Geoffrey served as district director for State Representative Lyle Larson and consulted for numerous campaigns in San Antonio and throughout the state, including Susan Pamerleau for Sheriff, Lyle Larson for State Representative, Elisa Chan for City Council, Kevin Wolff for County Commissioner, and many others.
A graduate of St. Mary’s University, Geoffrey brings over 8 years of experience working in politics and government with a passion for tackling problems at the local level. In his spare time he is active in his church as well as two masonic lodges, University #1190 and Victory #1160, and enjoys and spending time with his wife, Katie, and his dog, Bonham.
